Reference

The Mt. Olive Reference Department is staffed with 4 librarians that are here to help you find the information you are looking for. During library hours there is a librarian at the reference desk to assist you whether it is in-person or over the phone. If you can't make it in, feel free to call us during library hours at 973-691-8686. If the library is closed you can still get your question answered in a couple of ways.

Adult Services

There are many programs and events for the adult community of Mt. Olive Township to enjoy at the library. Book discussion groups, a writer's group and even a knitting group!

 

Laughter Yoga: Join Diana Perez, "Jolliologist" & Certified Laughter Yoga Leader, for this fun-filled workshop and learn the true benefits of laughing. Click for details



English Conversation Group: Conversation Group will give newcomers the ooportunity to practice their English, meet new friends, discover library services, and learn about their new environment.

First and third Tuesdays of the month from 7 to 8:45pm in the Conference Room.

Writer's Group: The goal of the group is to provide an open, constructive atmosphere for writers to discuss their work with people of similar interests and to learn about the writing/publishing world.

Meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month from 7:00-8:00pm.

Knitting & Crocheting Group: First and Third Wednesday of the month from 6:30-8:00pm.

All levels of expertise are welcome. Bring your own project or help us make a blanket for Project Linus by bringing in a pair of knitting needles (size 8).

Ever tried knitting before? If you would like to learn the basics please bring a pair of knitting needles (size 8) and yarn to the meeting.
