Adult Summer Reading

It’s Summertime, Again!
Time for adults to kick back and relax with great reading material at the
Mount Olive Public Library’s Adult Summer Reading Program
June 27-August 15th.

This year’s theme is “Build A Better World,” which will acquaint you with great people, great places in the world to visit and great things to build or create. Why not try something new, like learning French cooking, or finally building that deck you want? We’ll have a variety of topics to pick from conflict resolution to crafts, presidents to protecting the environment.

This year, we’re doing things a little differently. Mount Olive patrons and residents can now Register and submit their Reviews online. Just click on the links at the bottom of this page.
If you need help, the Reference Librarians will be happy to register you online in the library or call us at 973-691-8686 x112. You can still come into the Library to register and/or submit reviews but please only do one or the other for each review you submit.

Click HERE to download and print a Review card to submit in the Library.

There will be a Reading List with recommended titles at the Library. You will also find many of the suggested titles in our Main display area and on the display leading into the Reference area.

As usual, we will pick three random winners from all the reviews we receive. This year’s top prize is an Amazon Echo Dot. The Dot is a virtual assistant for your home. You may have seen it advertised on television. It uses Alexa, a voice-activated technology that helps you answer questions like, “What is the temperature in Budd Lake today?” or “What is the world’s highest waterfall?” You can also use it to stream music, telephone people you know or have it turn your lights off and on when you’re on vacation. We hope you’ll be as excited about this technology as we are.

Second prize is a $25 Barnes & Noble gift certificate, third prize is a $15 certificate and even the Architectural Wonders Contest, will include a $10 gift certificate this year. All winners will also receive a Build A Better World Tote Bag and Thermos.

Visit our website, library events, adult programs from June-August, if you’re looking for interesting presentations.

Please let us know how you would change the world, by posting your ideas on our globe, located on the Reference display. We will post your ideas on one of our social media accounts.

Please also let Reference know if you enjoyed this year’s program and the new online format.
We wish everyone a Safe and Happy Summer!

If you register or submit online, please DO NOT register or submit in the Library
