IRON ERA
The Iron Era was a newspaper published in Dover between 1872 & 1905.  The Library Reference staff has photocopied from microfilm, every article that had mention of news from Mt. Olive, Budd Lake, Flanders, German Valley, Middle Valley, Bartley, & Drakestown.  These articles are being indexed and  will be made available to the public soon.

The Mt. Olive Chronicle newspaper is available on microfilm from 1979 to 1999.  The bound volumes of the Chronicle 1978-2002 is also available.  Thanks to a grant received from the NJ State Library, the Chronicle from 1992 -1999 was  microfilmed and rebound.


NEWARK STAR-LEDGER and DAILY RECORD

Since June of 1999, the library reference staff has been clipping and photocopying news stories in these two newspapers that pertain to Mt. Olive Township, "local" historical issues and general library issues.  These articles are available to the public in the Heritage Room.
 


We currently subscribe to the following genealogy magazines.
