The Mount Olive Public Library has recently acquired the digitized CD-ROM version of the vintage Mt. Olive Star Newspaper which was published from September 1967 to August 1968. The newspaper has fascinating news items covering Mount Olive during the turbulent time period of the late sixties.
Funded with a Grant received from the Morris County Heritage Commission Re-Grant program, the library invites you to browse through the pages of current events, school and sports news, birth and death announcements, local advertisements and many photographs involving Mount Olive as well as neighboring Morris, Sussex and Warren County communities. The searching is easy also thanks to the Heritage Commission Grant which purchased the software the library is using to search and view the Mt. Olive Star.
